So you’re interested in joining? Great News!
There are a number of options available to you
We recruit skaters, non-skating officials and referees twice a year. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worn skates before, we’ll teach you everything!
No need to worry about your age or fitness level, if you have an open mind and are willing to give it a try you’ll fit right in.
We also provide a hire kit option to new skaters before they commit to buying equipment to make sure the sport is right for you.
Skating is open to anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as woman or gender expansive, but we also welcome all male identifying people to train at our beginner skater programme and then transfer across to the Harland Wolves League.
Our next intake date as not yet been announced - but follow us on our Facebook page to get all the latest updates.
Without the hard work of referees and non-skating officials roller derby games simply could not happen.
We have plenty of officiating opportunities within the league both on and off skates if a contact sport is not for you.
Simply come along to one of our upcoming intake days or get in touch via our contact us section for more information.
If skating or officiating is not your thing there are many other ways to get involved with Belfast Roller Derby. We rely on volunteers to keep the league running and you never know what skills you might have that would be very useful to us.
Volunteers we need at every game:
Check In staff
Track set up and take down
Raffle ticket sellers
Below is a list of people we would love to have be part of the family:
Sports medicine doctors and physical therapists
