Marketplace
Throughout the event, there will be a marketplace featuring local LGBTQIA+ friendly organisations, community groups, sports clubs and local artisans. You can find out more about local opportunities and community support; and you get the chance to support some small, local, inclusive businesses.
Exhibition Game
For our main event we offer you a game like no other - this is not city vs city or town vs town, this is a game of 2 mixed teams of skaters from Belfast and across the island of Ireland, who love the sport and want to show you just how great it is to watch, and how much fun it is to play roller derby.
Give it a Go!
As if that is not enough, our coaches are then offering you the chance to come and give it go! Strictly for the over 18s, we have skates and protective gear for you to borrow, we will get you kitted up and treat you to 45 minutes of joy (yes, we mean joy) on skates. No skating experience required. Our taster session will mimic our earliest ‘intake’ sessions so no one will try to knock you off your skates - in fact, our goal is to get you comfortable on those wheels. Roller Derby is a contact sport - don’t worry though, we won’t be knocking you over just yet but we do need everyone to wear protective gear with their quad skates!
We will have loan kit in a variety of sizes for everyone but you’re welcome to bring your own (Helmet, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards are the main ones!)
We have loan skates too, so please let us know what size you are
