You guessed it folks, Belfast Roller Derby is moving to… Belfast!

We are so very excited to be hosting our first game in Belfast EVER at the fantastic new venue Newforge Sports Complex.

Newforge will also become our training venue from January 2026 and we are thrilled to be able to train on a full sized track in this great new facility.

We will definitely miss training and playing at Valley Leisure Centre which has been our home for so long and send our heartfelt thanks to the staff there who’ve been so accommodating to us over the years,

But, it’s time for a change and the opportunity that Newforge affords us is amazing; from recruitment of skaters, volunteers and supporters, as well as accessibility, we can’t imagine how our club will grow over the next few years!

Come and support us in our upcoming game against Munster Roller Derby on October 18th at Newforge and (re)discover this wonderful sport - and maybe, just maybe, you’ll want to come and learn to play roller derby - we’ve got a New Skater Intake starting in January 2026 - we’ll take you from complete newbie and teach you all the skating and gameplay skills to be eligible to play (or referee, if you feel contact is not your thing!)
